Ready?: You are about to be enlisted

Not so very long ago, I thought I would write a Memoir.

Then Joy mentioned that it was not to be and as I listened to her words through tears, I was confused. I now understand why her words were truth.

A memoir is something that is written to Chronicle your life – written through your own worldly eyes. A Testimony is entirely different. It is a story that is told from the perspective of The Holy Spirit.

The moments are becoming more frequent where I cannot wait to put pen to paper and resume the work He has given me, guess that should be no surprise. When we delight ourselves in Him, he gives us the desires of our heart (Psalm 37:4)

However, I do not know how long I will continue that work because I recently had a vision of a wall-style clock and its hands were spinning so fast they were almost out of control.

While we need to be aware that things are going to happen that will leave us in shock, in awe; sad and grieved, that they are happening – they were foretold. They are more than the beginning of birth pains. They are our sorrows and His.

In fact, I am reminded that I had written about this 4 months ago when I was given a vision about Darkness Descending.

As darkness continues to descend, something is going to happen. This is tied to the Event that is ahead. God has told us within His Word that His Spirit resides within us. For those that have completely given themselves over to the Work of The Spirit, to God’s plan for The Earth, this event is tied to you.

You need to recognize what is happening and what is at stake. Recall Ephesians 6:10-18, that we fight not against flesh and blood but against that which is unseen. That is exactly what this is about. Consider this video snippet. Tris is sent into an induced simulation. But even in this simulation, she is dealing with a reality…an alternate reality:

“Chose”

Tris doesn’t make the choice in the simulation and EVEN THAT affects her result. If it didn’t matter that this was JUST in her MIND, consider how much more important IT IS FOR US.

Jesus tells us specifically that the battle starts in the mind.  Have you ever read the end Zechariah 14? You might want to…I won’t say more than that right now.

Instead, I’ll spell it out…the enemy has an army, but so does God. If you haven’t noticed there are a lot of voices out there saying the moment of decision isn’t just ahead; it’s here, it’s now.

What that means is, your decision doesn’t get to wait until your facing Yahushua at the Judgement seat of Christ. The decision rests on you, in this moment – now. It rested on the hearts and minds of the 59 souls who lost their lives in Las Vegas. And WE ALL pray they were right with God.

I’ll add this right now…Father, I lift up those souls to you NOW and ask you to give them the chance to say YES to you and acknowledge who YOU ARE.

Reading this on your laptop or device you might laugh at the idea about the concept of having to “chose,” but I don’t recommend it. Our enemy is out to steal, kill and destroy and he isn’t out to make promises he can keep.

God doesn’t want to see that happen, he doesn’t want anyone to perish. The enemy lives in the dark and he prowls the earth. (Job 1:7)

God does not just LIVE in the Light – HE IS THE LIGHT.

Thus, we approach the ultimate showdown and that is what you need to understand. If you have not read the Book of Revelation or the Book of Genesis, you should. Because Revelation wraps up what was begun in the Book of Genesis.

The Serpent tempted Eve. Have you ever figured out how Eve stumbled? I went back to Genesis and studied Eve because we have a lot to learn from her. the devil twisted his words intentionally to throw Eve off. She was unprepared for it…she ever so slightly misquoted The Father’s Words and that is how the enemy took the upper hand.

Well, the battles addressed in the gospels of the New Testament and especially in the Book of Revelation, is the conclusion of that epic saga.

Adam and Eve were innocent and naive. Ultimately, Eve is blamed for the fall of man (this is prophetic ladies, because ultimately a woman give birth to a man who reconciles ALL). Eve’s stumble doesn’t have to be repeated by us. She wouldn’t want us to “fall” into the same error she did.

I think Eve would want us to be Encouraged as we MOVE forward.

And as each of us IS being moved we need to remember that God knows where He needs us and will get us there.

MOVE! Keep Walkin’

Per Daniel (12:4) the books of prophecy were to be sealed until the time of The End. I believe The Holy Spirit is sharing with each of his beloved certain specifics regarding “The day and the hour.” Know that each of you who is committed to our Creator is going to be called forth and enlisted in God’s Army. And that is a GOOD thing. What I will share here, is that I’ve been shown Daniel 12:3 is actually referring to The 5 Wise Virgins.

Don’t be unprepared. Fight the good fight and ASK for your placement.

Know where you STAND and Remember that the darkness cannot exist where there is LIGHT.

Be ARMORED up (Eph 6:10-18) and ready because…

The Call is about to be made.

The Identical: Movie Review and DVD Give-AWAY (Give-Away ended)

 unnamed

Happy New Year!

I was recently given the chance to watch the movie called: “The Identical.”

Today I am posting my review. I will also be offering YOU a chance to win a DVD copy for yourself!

Here is the official movie summary:

The Identical, starring Ray Liotta, Ashley Judd, Seth Green, and Blake Rayne is a redemptive movie about a young man, the son of a preacher, who rejects his father’s desire for him to join the ministry and instead embarks on a career as a rock singer. As he struggles to pursue his dream and rise to stardom, he finds love, pain, success, failure and ultimately uncovers a hidden family secret that reveals who he really us. The Identical is a captivating story about a family restored and a life discovered that lifts your soul and warms your heart.

The DVD that we’d like to send you contains over 85 minutes of bonus content including “Making The Identical,” Behind the Scenes, and Deleted Scenes!

Now, time for my review:

I like a wide range of movies. From drama to suspense, romance to comedy, action and family. I also love movies where characters face big challenges. It’s a bonus if those characters find redemption before the “curtain closes.”

What I liked about “The Identical:”

First, I appreciated that the opening scenes reflected the time period of the drama: the opening scenes (which take place in the 1930’s) are in black and white.

It only took a couple of minutes for the story to introduce the first conflict: Parents struggling to provide for their children.

To have to make the decision these families did, would not be easy.

I liked the music. I am so glad that not only did the characters find redemption but that God can take our frailties, uncertainties, barriers and broken hearts and turn those ashes into beauty.

There isn’t much I didn’t like about this. Although I really didn’t know what to expect when I hit “play” I started it with no expectations. I was both entertained and surprised by the time it was over.

There were only a couple of things I didn’t like.

I had hoped Ryan would figure out the mysteries and twists of his life. That he would have discovered truths much sooner. We as the viewer knew what they were, in terms of suspense – I was anxious to see how it would “play out.” And from this reviewer’s perspective, the ending wasn’t predictable.

The only other thing that “bugged” me was Ryan’s hair style. I liked his character’s presentation all through the beginning. I found the curly (or permed) hair styling really distracting from his character performance. It didn’t minimize it, but it didn’t help. The look just didn’t fit the character’s persona, at least for me.

Overall, the film is a good family drama. It is much lighter than some family films I’ve seen (thinking Steel Magnolia’s). I loved that it made me laugh, made me cry. It reminded me that the road may not be perfect, it’s probably going to be bumpy. But our Faith will be refined and He will have given us the desires of our heart.

That’s what The Identical does. It gives us a chance to dream, reflect, appreciate the choices we’ve made, what we’ve learned and press on down the road we are traveling.

Whatever He’s planned for us – is to ultimately discover our true calling, purpose and plan.

Searching for Words – Listening for Whispers

As I spend the next couple hours writing, the above song is what I am listening to.

I am praying for Wisdom and searching for fruit from the Spirit.

Give me YOUR words, Lord!

Psalm 46-11

The Lord Almighty is here among us; the God of Israel is our fortress

Big Daddy Weave – Love Come To Life Lyrics

(highlights in Blue are my thoughts only)

I’ve been restless on the inside
Wondering about this heart of mine
I’ve been desperately trying to find
A way to prove that I’m still alive
Has the love I speak so loudly of quietly grown cold

(This part is my FAVORITE)
Has my life been an empty voice?
What I say needs to be seen
I need to step out and make the choice
To let go of everything (Please!)
Would you reignite this heart spark here in the dark? (Amen)

Chorus:
Bring your love to life inside of me
Why don’t you break my heart til it moves my hands and feet
For the hopeless and the broken
For the ones that don’t know that you love them
Bring your love to life inside of me

A generation you’re calling out
Living everything that we sing about
A revelation right here and now
Of love beyond a shadow of a doubt
Love that’s greater than our own
Won’t remain unknown, when you

Chorus

Love come to life, love come to life, love come to life inside of me
Repeat

Chorus

Dear God,

There is truly nothing more worthwhile than finding out who we are in Christ. Understanding who you intended us to be, seeking you and letting you lead us there – Amen.

Be glad for all God is planning for you.

Be patient in trouble, and always be prayerful.

The End is The Beginning: A Test of Choices

Believe in God’s Promises

I spent the weekend canoeing on a lake with a group of girls. The weather was utterly picture perfect. The water was too cold to swim in but the fall colors of the trees surrounding us were at peak.

I’m glad this is where I was yesterday. I’m glad I got to sit in the middle of the lake and gaze in wonder at the palate of colors God created. Whispy white clouds draped the sky line. Red and brown tree leaves that fluttered in the wind were an amazing contrast to sky blue. The sun’s rays shining through those rusts and reds and the sunlight sparkling on the water was awesome to behold.

But there is another reason I’m glad I was there yesterday. Because yesterday marked 31 years since my Mom passed away.

In some ways, it still feels like yesterday but in reality it was a lifetime ago.

The focus of this post won’t be on how much I miss her or how I’m grieving. That’s NOT how this works. This blog is God’s corner of the World for Encouragement!

What have I learned?

Our physical bodies do deteriorate over time. It’s just how we were designed. I know of too many people who believe that when the body dies, your “dead” and THAT’s IT! There is nothing else. Your body “rots” in the ground.

I don’t believe that. That is just not possible.

I no longer resent, regret or feel true grief or mourning over Mom’s passing. My solace didn’t happen over night and it didn’t happen because I “WILLED” it too.

I grew up with my Mom taking me to church. I remember she read her bible. But I remember distinctly that after she was diagnosed (post surgery) in February ’83 that she spent a lot more time reading her Bible and outside in the garden (which didn’t last long). My memories of her are dim but I remember them as God allows.

What I now realize is what she learned back then. Her physical body was destined to die but she was preparing for something bigger: Her Soul, Her Spirit for Heaven.

The time she spent reading The Bible: The Word of God, was a LIFE-giving source of sustenance for the part of her that was “trapped” inside a cancer ravaged body.  Our bodies are more than what we can see. Our skin and physical manifestation covers the WHO we are inside. And that WHO we are inside can have a different destination than the casket, an urn, or a whole in the ground.

My mom was sad to be leaving the people she’d lived life with. I’m certain she was sad about her own past regrets. Sad about unrealized dreams.

I’m also certain her sadness was short-lived. She was learning to love and trust in God. His Word was a lamp in the darkness she faced. None of us knew what she was feeling, but Jesus did. Jesus had already walked in her shoes. He’d felt her pain. He was showing her through each verse she was reading how REAL HE IS. She was hungry for the PEACE of God, and God was providing.

Her ultimate trial of persecution would end up with her physical body breaking down, stopping her heart, her breathing and finally her brain. But the part that we couldn’t see (her Spirit/Soul) separated from a now defunct body and returned to its origin, her Savior.

Her dying was the end of THIS PHYSICAL earthly life but not HER SPIRITUAL demise; at the moment of her death, I know she went into God’s presence. I have felt her there.

The Enemy will try to tell us that there is nothing else beyond this mortal existence. And that might be easy to believe or to WANT to believe. Too many of us want to believe WE are in control. In control of our destiny’s, our future’s, our families; even the money we earn or the food we eat.

Let’s remember something: When you were born you came into this world with NOTHING. You arrived NAKED and in NEED of care.

You may not die Naked, you may have clothing on. But when you die, YOU TAKE NOTHING with you. You leave the same way you left.

Why are we here then?

You were given life as a TEST.

A test of character.

A test of humility.

A TEST of LEARNING to LOVE.

If you decided in this life not to believe in God.

If you opt to reject the belief of Jesus as Savior, because you have not seen Jesus, then you are a Doubting Thomas.

Do NOT let doubt cloud your mind.

Jesus Appears to Thomas

24 One of the twelve disciples, Thomas (nicknamed the Twin),[a] was not with the others when Jesus came. 25 They told him, “We have seen the Lord!”

But he replied, “I won’t believe it unless I see the nail wounds in his hands, put my fingers into them, and place my hand into the wound in his side.”

26 Eight days later the disciples were together again, and this time Thomas was with them. The doors were locked; but suddenly, as before, Jesus was standing among them. “Peace be with you,” he said. 27 Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and look at my hands. Put your hand into the wound in my side. Don’t be faithless any longer. Believe!”

28 “My Lord and my God!” Thomas exclaimed.

29 Then Jesus told him, “You believe because you have seen me. Blessed are those who believe without seeing me.”

Dying is not the end.

It was never designed to be the end:

But our ultimate destination is determined by our

CHOICES.

Matthew 10:39New Living Translation (NLT)

39 If you cling to your life, you will lose it; but if you give up your life for me, you will find it.

Instead of posting a music video,

I am posting a video story that will change how you look at life.

Watch it.      Share it.      Understand.

Have you met Clayton McDonald?

Dying is a frightening premise.

We fear what we can’t see.

So allow yourself to TRUST; a mustard seed of Faith is all it takes

Matthew 13:31-32New Living Translation (NLT)

Parable of the Mustard Seed

31 Here is another illustration Jesus used:

“The Kingdom of Heaven is like a mustard seed planted in a field.

32 It is the smallest of all seeds, but it becomes the largest of garden plants;

it grows into a tree, and birds come and make nests in its branches.”

Dear God,

Thank you for my Mother. For the Blessing of her love and the example she was of how to seek YOU and Love YOU.

Help each of us to find you before we take our final breath and fill the grieving with your peace…to bring them closer to YOU.

In Jesus Name, Amen.
